The
Beovoz is the
suburban/commuter railway network that provides
mass-transit service in the city of
Belgrade,
Serbia.
There are four lines in the Belgrade underground railway network:
Most stations are not underground. The four stations that are built underground are located in the city center. The main usage of today's system is to connect the suburbs with downtown
Belgrade.
Construction work on a true metro in the city is scheduled to commence in 2005.
